Description
Potato stamps are a wonderful way to create fun wrapping paper. I used cookie cutters I pressed into the cut potato. Next, with a knife, I cut up to the cookie cutter. I remove the access potato which breaks easily away. I take a small knife to remove leftover potato. Then I remove the cookie cutter careful. I always have food coloring in the house but any paint will do. Put a thin layer of the paint you like to use on a paper plate. Dip your potato stamp into the paint. Tap some of the paint off on a scrap paper and then move on to the paper you like to use. Press lightly the color will go a long way since the potato is wet. Potato stamp is a fun activity for kids and adults. They are wonderful when you need wrapping paper and you are fresh out of it. I discovered potato stamps when I was searching for Kwanzaa wrapping paper and could not find any in the store.
