Description
A person in the mist - a soft pastel watercolor abstraction using blues, pinks, and hints of yellow. The painting sprang out of an artistic exercise. Prior to creating this painting, I worked on a planned out, pre-meditated watercolor knowing that the one after would be the totally opposite process where I worked organic and let my mind dictate where I place the colors next. I worked fast not allowing me to dwell. When the moment came and I decided the painting was done, I walk away for a few minutes to return and study it. To my amazement to the right, the form of a head could be found. The beauty of abstracts is the surprises and interpretation of the one viewing the art.
