Our Australian Kelpie mix dog in front of her doggy birthday cake. The Australian Kelpie homeland is Australia. They are wonderful working dogs and used for herding. The Kelpie is a cross between other herding dogs, collies and dingos. The Australian Kelpie is a loving family dog which does need a job to be happy. Ours will wait until every one of us is home before she goes to bed. Here she carefully is trying to steal a dog bone cookie of her first birthday cake. Her human siblings wanted her to have a candle, so I baked her homemade dog cookies and shaped one into a candle. She was so delicate about stealing the cookie I had enough time to catch her in her crime.
