Gardeners know having them in the garden has great benefits. I have ordered some even through the mail when we first moved to our new home as part of our natural organic pest control helpers. Lady bugs have been part of children stories and fables in which landing one on you means good luck for as many years has the lady bug has spots. Different countries have different good luck believes. In England it represent having a good luck. In Sweden it means a young girl gets married if it lands on her hand. Ladybugs are the official state insect of Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Tennessee.
