The tiny ladybug is from the Coccinellidae family. Its real name is lady beetle but the name ladybug stuck and is what most know them under. Gardeners know having them in the garden has great benefits. I have ordered some even through the mail when we first moved to our new home as part of our natural organic pest control helpers. Ladybugs have been part of children's stories and fables in which landing one on you means good luck for as many years as the ladybug has spots. Different countries have different good luck believes. In England, it represents having good luck. In Sweden, it means a young girl gets married if it lands on her hand. Ladybugs are the official state insect of Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Tennessee.
